How does an EDT work?

The duel fuel machine heats formulated soya-based oil to 42 degrees, prior to dispensing several litres of solution though the engines oil galleries and journals. The solution is pressurised to 40 PSI and pulsed into the engine through the oil filter housing. It then takes the same route as the oil through the oil galleries to assist the breakdown of any unwanted debris.

The process has 3 cycles, with 3 sub cycles. The first circulates solution through the engine oil ways and galleries. The second is a soak cycle. The third is a recovery cycle. The complete process takes less than fifteen minutes in-situ and the effect, even on well maintained vehicles, is to allow the new oil to maximise its performance, reducing the engines co-efficient of friction.

Would like to thank Antony and his team at Dukes Park Automotive for their excellent service and professionalism from start to finish.
Antony provided great advice and feedback, as well as a few important suggestions regarding one or two things on my ageing BMW that I should consider replacing.

M3. Smoother engine

Antony provided an excellent service and the engine treatment has made the car run smoother. Update: I have now returned to this garage for my car's next scheduled main service. Once again the service was excellent and competitive. BMW parts used by an expert in BMW and it was 24% cheaper than the main BMW dealership. However what I really like about Antony's garage is that nothing is done behind closed doors and you can see the work being completed from the reception. I would highly recommend this garage

"I recently had an EDT completed on my car because it hit 70k and I had read some good reviews about this online. I booked my car in with Antony and left it with him for the day. At first I wasn’t convinced the EDT had made any difference to my engine but as it has been remapped I think this disguised any benefits. After a 300 mile run my car seems to be showing some benefits. It’s quieter, faster and the mpg has started creeping up. Definitely recommend having this done and if you don’t see results at first take your car for a long drive and let it burn out anything cleared from the EDT."
